Darbuka Beats — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 October 2026
Darbuka Beats ("the app") is published by DEVBOX ("we"). This policy explains what data the app handles.
Data the app itself stores
- Your settings (language, volume, tuning, style), recorded beats, game scores and daily streak are stored only on your device. They are never uploaded to our servers. We do not run any server for the app.
- Recorded beats are saved as note events, not as audio.
- Microphone ("Listen & Play"): only when you tap the listen button, the app records 10 to 20 seconds from the microphone to detect the tempo and rhythm of the music playing around you. The sound is analysed in the phone's memory and discarded immediately; it is never saved, never uploaded and never shared. Microphone permission can be revoked at any time in your phone settings.
- When you choose to share a beat or a score, the file or text is handed to your phone's share sheet and sent to the app you pick (WhatsApp, Instagram…). That app's own privacy policy then applies.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app shows ads provided by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process:
- the advertising ID and other device identifiers,
- approximate location derived from the IP address,
- app interaction and diagnostic data (ad impressions, clicks, crashes of the ads SDK).
In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, a consent form is shown at first launch; you can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & ad choices. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone settings (*Settings → Google → Ads*).

Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from them.
Data retention and deletion
All app data lives on your device: uninstalling the app or clearing its storage deletes it. Data collected by Google AdMob is governed by Google's policies.
