Vision Board — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 October 2026
Vision Board ("the app", bundle id com.devbox.visionboard) is published by DEVBOX ("we", https://devbox.tn). This policy explains what data the app handles.
Data the app itself stores
- Your boards, the photos you add, your texts, goals, affirmation reminders and streak are stored on your device (app storage shared with the app's widgets). They are never uploaded to our servers. There is no account.
- iCloud backup: if you are signed in to iCloud, a copy of your boards and photos is saved in the app's private folder of your own iCloud Drive, so you can get them back on a new iPhone. This copy is stored by Apple in your iCloud account; DEVBOX cannot see or access it. You can turn the backup off in Vision Board → Settings → Backup, and delete it in Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage.
- Photos: the app only reads the photos you pick in the system photo picker, and only asks for permission to add images when you save a board to your library. It never browses your photo library.
- Notifications: daily affirmations are local notifications scheduled on your device.
Photo search
When you search for photos, the words you type are sent through our server (a Cloudflare Worker operated by DEVBOX, which caches results) to Pixabay, which returns free photos. Photos you pick are downloaded and saved on your device. No account, name or other personal data is sent with searches; please don't type personal information in them.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app is free and shows ads (banner and interstitial) provided by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process:
- the advertising identifier (IDFA, only if you allow tracking) and other device identifiers,
- approximate location derived from the IP address,
- app interaction and diagnostic data (ad impressions, clicks, crashes of the ads SDK).
Your boards, photos, goals and texts are never passed to the ads SDK. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, a consent form (Google User Messaging Platform) is shown at first launch; you can change your choice at any time in Settings → Ad privacy choices. The app asks for permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before the IDFA can be used; if you decline, ads are not personalised with it, and you can change this in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Android app
The Android app (package com.devbox.visionboard, on Google Play, Palm Store and Xiaomi GetApps) works the same way, with these differences:
- No iCloud. Boards and photos are stored in the app's private storage on your phone. If Android backup is on, they are included in your phone's own Google backup (stored in your Google account; DEVBOX cannot access it).
- Analytics and crash reports (Google Firebase). The app uses Firebase Analytics to count anonymous usage events (for example, a board created or exported, the store the app was installed from) and Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash reports (device model, Android version, the app's state when it crashed). These do not include your boards, photos or texts.
- Advertising ID. On Android, Google AdMob may use the Android advertising ID instead of the IDFA. You can reset or delete it in your phone's settings (Google → Ads). An optional rewarded video removes ads for 24 hours; watching it is always your choice.
- Wallpaper and photos. The app only changes your wallpaper when you tap "Set as wallpaper", and saves pictures to your gallery only when you tap Save (Android 9 and older ask for storage permission for this).
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from them.
Data retention and deletion
Deleting a board removes it from your device and, at the next backup, from your iCloud backup. Uninstalling the app deletes everything stored on the device; the iCloud backup stays in your iCloud account until you delete it. Images you saved to Photos stay in your library. Data collected by Google AdMob is governed by Google's policies.
